4th day post-op:  You may never guess from this photo how well and happy Misty is doing -- in fact, her greatest challenge to date has been trying to pull toys out of the toy box while her head is still captive in the cone.  She's now able to go up and down a few stairs without help from me. As a mere and puny human, I have so very much to learn from her...

We're waiting for the pathology report for a final identification on the cell-type of her tumour, but hopefully she can receive her first chemotherapy on Tuesday or so.

Her incision is clean and dry.  The dark splotches here are bruising that resulted from the surgery but even they are beginning to fade.  She'll get her staples out late next week and then she can get rid of that troublesome cone! Now THAT is good life quality.

Again, I want to express my most heartfelt thanks for the support, love, yummy dog treats, get well wishes including a card -- your Healing Energies have been felt and are very very much appreciated.

Misty is the Model Therapy Dog! We could learn so much from her in the following days, weeks and years!

I'm a life long owner and respecter of dogs with previous work experience in cancer care. Although I've long marveled at the gifts animals bring to help humans feel better, this is my first foray into working with Dog-As-Therapist... which makes this a journey of discovery Misty and I will share.
